Calum C Milne
Calum Milne knows Llangoed Hall inside out having managed the property for Sir Bernard Ashley from 2003 to 2007. Following the sale of Llangoed Hall in 2012, Calum returned as Managing Director and has since overseen an entire refurbishment of the hotel and grounds. In the summer of 2013, Calum was made an ambassador of the Cambrian Mountains Initiative, due to Llangoed Hall's contribution to the overall sustainability of this region of Wales.
Says Calum Milne, Managing Director; "I am delighted to have overseen the hotel go through this transformation which has enhanced the local area. Over the many years I have known Llangoed Hall it has become a second home. Llangoed Hall has a great past, present and future and the story is yet to be completed".
Chef de Cuisine
Nick joined the team at Llangoed Hall in February 2013 after being recruited by Calum Milne following a cook-off competition. Since then he has recruited a very strong and passionate kitchen brigade and appeared on BB2's Great British Menu.
Nick and his team have planted their own vegetables and herbs in the gardens to complement the existing soft fruit, including raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries, figs, apples, pears, plums. Nick has renovated a large greenhouse, housed chickens, quail and ducks in the grounds and established a smoke-house.
Nick has worked on improving all the menus at Llangoed Hall and the afternoon tea menu (which is hugely popular) can now be adapted to suit special dietary requirements so everyone can enjoy the experience.

Stacey studied at the University of Glamorgan, where she obtained a degree and Masters in Environmental Conservation Management, before taking a U-turn into events and event management. Stacey has spent her entire working career, in hospitality and customer service.
Outside of work, Stacey loves to travel and is a keen photographer. Look out for her pictures in National Geographic!
Brian has worked at Llangoed Hall on and off for nearly 15 years now. Like Calum Mine, Brian is a Scot, however has spent more time in Wales than in Scotland. Brian, much akin to previous department heads, has worked for Sir Bernard Ashley KBE (co-founder of Laura Ashley).
Brian returned to work at Llangoed Hall as Operations Manager in July 2012.
Trefor joined the team at Llangoed Hall in June 2017 as front of house manager, having worked previously at Peterstone Court near Brecon as wedding co-ordinator and Duty Manager.
Born in London and spent many years in Brighton, before settling in Wales six years ago. Trefor enjoys exploring the beautiful area, swimming and keeping fit, history, genealogy, baking and gardening.
Trainee Assistant Manager
Sam is currently studying Management at Herefordshire and Ludlow College and joined the team in June 2017.
"My aim at Llangoed is to do whatever I can to enhance our guests experience during their stay. I have a keen eye for detail and an enthusiastic approach to customer service. I love nothing more than to enjoy excellent food in good company and have been fortunate enough to enjoy experimenting with both cooking and tasting some of the best food from around the world. Living locally, I really appreciate the Welsh countryside and all the beauty and produce that it provides."
