A Llangoed love letter
14th February 2017
In these days when news seems scarcely believable to anyone, the idea of true romance appears to be making a comeback - or perhaps at Llangoed Hall it never really went away.
This week in particular has seen a steady stream of guests who only have eyes for one another, but then this beautiful building has perhaps played host to more than it’s fair share of romance.
Back in the '80's Sir Bernard & Laura Ashley fell madly in love with Llangoed Hall - driven by a passion to restore this remarkable building to its former glory and open it as a luxury hotel that everyone could enjoy. Today you can feel their love for the place in every room.
This year we already have some delightful wedding ceremonies and receptions planned for the spring and summer but I particularly enjoy our winter wedding days - with guests enjoying our warmest hospitality and the lucky couple dashing out into the garden to make the most of a little winter sunshine.
To continue this romantic theme I couldn’t resist showing you a few of our happy couples from recent years:
With a (slightly) warmer week forecast the gardens are slowly emerging from their winter slumber - and how wonderful to still find daylight at 5pm - we all hope that our Valentines guests enjoy their stays with us. And that romance blossoms!
Have a good week!
