My favourite time of year
6th February 2017
Quiet roads. Wrapping up warm. Exploring without crowds. Just a few of the reasons why February is one of my favourite times of year in the Wye Valley.
And whilst the weather has been frosty and fresh of late, we’ve had the most stunning days of sunshine with mist filled valleys - the kind of days that make you want to stop the car and get your camera phone out (thanks Chef!)
Whilst many of our guests at this time of year are quite content to curl up on a sofa with the papers, we’ve had a fair few intrepid souls out walking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons - the latter currently capped with snow. Even a stroll by the Wye, just a few minutes from the front door, or a gentle wander around Hay on Wye, will help sharpen the appetite and clear the mind - well it certainly works for me!
Then return to the warmth and hospitality of Llangoed after a winter’s day out - with piping hot water, warm rooms and roaring log fires. And if that sounds tempting then have a look at our lovely February stay - it's what winters are made for!
Have a good week!
