Special Afternoon Tea commemorates Laura Ashley
August 2013 - A 60th anniversary celebration
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Laura Ashley’s iconic fashion label, Llangoed Hall, once home to the Ashley family, has unveiled a Special Afternoon Tea.
Between September and December guests can celebrate the Laura Ashley story over a dedicated afternoon tea inspired by her distinctive designs. This tea includes a glass of Elderflower Champagne, a selection of floral teas, finger sandwiches, scones and various cakes all served on bespoke Caverswall crockery inspired by Laura Ashley’s design style.
The tea is priced £32.50 per person. For those looking for a unique cocktail before dinner, guests can also order the Elderflower Champagne as a refreshing aperitif.
Llangoed Hall Hotel showcases a selection of fabrics, furniture, pictures and personal artefacts all belonging to and designed by Laura Ashley herself. 2013 also sees the first major retrospective of Laura Ashley’s work at the Fashion Museum in Bath before moving to The Bowes Museum in County Durham. The country is alive with affection for Laura Ashley.
